About organization

The Institute for Family Health (IFH) is a Russian organization, with a mission to improve children’s and adults’ health. IFH develops and implements projects which increase the efficiency of the health care system, improve the knowledge and skills of health care and social workers, and strengthen the educational process in medical universities and colleges.

IFH staff possesses extensive knowledge and experience in the field of public health, in clinical medicine, and medical education. Many of them are members of international organizations which determine key policies regarding health protection and women’s and children’s rights. Among our experts there are doctors and PhDs in medical science, health care administrators as well as specialists with significant practical experience.

Until 2006, the Institute for Family Health was the Russian representative office of John Snow, Incorporated (JSI)– a renowned American organization which has been working to improve and protect people’s health and strengthen health systems during the last 30 years in over 100 countries of the world. In 1996, JSI began working in Russia, where several large health care programs have been successfully implemented. Currently John Snow, Inc. is our partner.

In our collaboration with Russian and international organizations we use fundamentally new approaches and methods which are based on research and evidence in practice and comply with modern international standards. This enables IFH to be successful not only in Russia, but also in other countries.

We work for those and with those who wish to change life for the better.
