The II Workshop on Development of Guidelines on perinatal care regionalization
Under the Institutionalizing Best Practices in Maternal and Child Health (IBP MCH) Project the second workshop devoted to development of Guidelines on perinatal care regionalization was conducted in Yekaterinburg. This document is aimed for Russian sites and contains international and national experience of effective maternal and child health care delivery based on international and national data and best evidence-based practices.
The workshop involved the leading IBP MCH specialists, healthcare policymakers, the project coordinators and experts from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vologda, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinskaya Sverdlovskaya, Kurganskaya and Tyumenskaya oblasts, The Tatarstan and the Komi Republic and Khanti-Mansiysk Autonomous District.
The agenda included the visit of Yekaterinburg and Sverdlovskaya oblast Perinatal Centers.
The workshop was featured by constructive opinion exchange, discussion of Guidelines sections and the participants defined the work plan for the future. The Guidelines on perinatal care regionalization will be presented for medical community at the IPB MCH Project Final Conference, which will be held on May 21 – 23 2012.
