The leading specialists of the Institutionalizing Best Practices in Maternal and Child Health (IPB MCH) Project and the Institute for Family Health attended the II Ural OB-GYN Congress. “Modernization of maternal and child health services”, which was held on December 06 – 08 2011 in Yekaterinburg.
The Congress involves over 1450 professionals. The most prominent scientists, healthcare policymakers, heads of medical facilities and medical providers from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tyumen, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Novosibirsk and other Russian regions considered OB-GYN issues, discuss tools for improvement of obstetrics services and application of innovative technologies in healthcare.
The Congress Agenda included plenary sessions, satellite symposiums, seminars and master-classes. At the session “Modern maternal facility under healthcare modernization” IFH/IBP MCH Clinical Care Specialist Dr. Oleg Shvabsky discussed “Modern trends in perinatology”. The Congress was featured by Public Hearings on Youth and Adolescent Gynecology where IFH/IBP MCH Reproductive Health Specialist Dr. Elena Sheshko presented.
The II Ural OB-GYN Congress was featured by one more remarkable event – expert luncheon. It is a new mini-seminar format, brainstorming counterpart for vivid and informal discussions and specially tailored issues. Our colleague Dr. Oleg Shvabsky was one of pioneers. According to his opinion, that format is favorable for communication and gives an opportunity to discuss issues with an expert individually and find solutions.
